The EZ Pull Starter is designed to replace the recoil starter on any PU
based engine. It sits approximately 1/2 inch thicker at
recoil area then a
regular starter. When you pull the cord, you wind a spring
that transfers the energy to the engine eliminating the jerky
feeling of a regular starter. One of our accessory
Piston Stop Tools is recommended as the recoil engager will have to be
installed after the engine is mounted on the recoil plate.
